Creating Well-being Spaces for Staff
Apr 29, 2020
Donations to our COVID19 Appeal have enabled us to create well-being areas for our amazing staff.
The areas are designed to allow staff to relax during their breaks, giving them the chance to get away from their intense and busy work-loads on the Covid-19 front-line for a short period of time.
Victoria Manning, Wellbeing Lead for the COVID19 Appeal said:
“These well-being spaces are welcoming and comfortable and encourage some well-deserved downtime. As well as wonderful donations to our Appeal, Ikea and Made.com very generously supported us to furnish these rooms for our incredible staff who are working so hard during these difficult times."
The creation of well-being spaces across our four hospital sites is well underway, and will offer both clinical and professional services staff the chance to peacefully recuperate during their working day.
The first room was completed at Northwick Park Hospital and has been furnished with comfortable sofas, bean bags, over-sized cushions, coffee machines, phone chargers and an assortment of daily treats and drinks to re-energise staff.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported our amazing NHS staff during this crisis. The generosity and kindness shown by our local communities has been breath-taking. THANK YOU so much.
