Charity funds live music for dementia patients

Oct 31, 2023

Thanks to LNWH Charity funding, dementia patients enjoy live music from The Sptiz, who regularly visit them on the wards.

They perform at residential homes, hospices and hospitals and entertain staff and patients with a two-person combo playing guitar and double bass.

Alex Lukjaniec, Matron for Older People and Dementia Services, said: “It’s lovely to see people’s faces light up when the musicians come on the ward and start playing. People are just drawn to the music, and everyone had a good dance. It really lifts everyone’s spirits.”
