Meet the team

David Jenkins
Joint Director of Charities

David Jenkins

After spending 20 years in the international energy industry, I moved into Charity management in 2013. I am passionate about integrated Fundraising, whereby each discipline stands alone and works together seamlessly to maximise its potential. I also manage the Hillingdon Hospitals Charity, which I joined in 2017.

I'm a passionate rugby supporter and used to coach the UK Wine Trade team!

I have worked in the NHS Charity sector for over 25 years specialising in charity accounting and governance. I am a keen gym goer and love running, weightlifting and circuit training. I can’t wait to get stuck into some of the new events the Charity is planning!

I worked as a fashion model when I was younger - not quite to the stature of a Supermodel but it was great fun!

I have worked in the NHS Charity sector for over 10 years and having been employed at multiple trusts, I believe that I can bring the best ideas and fundraising initiatives to LNWH Charity. I am also a Trustee of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and a passionate volunteer fundraiser outside work.

I love motorbikes and have completed my compulsory basic training ready to get a Harley one day

I have been working for the NHS for since 2006, joining LNWH Charity in January 2007. Part of my responsibilities is to process donations when they come in to the office and make sure they are allocated correctly. In my spare time I enjoy sewing and yoga.

Following invasive knee surgery a few years ago, I completed a nine mile midnight walk for charity!

I joined the Charity in 2004 and help process donations and payments, and now also provide admin support to the fundraising team. In my spare time I volunteer for various religious organisations where I help with housekeeping and running food stalls.

I have met both Bruce Forsyth and Sebastian Coe in my local post office in Fulham!

I’ve dedicated over 15 years to LNWH Trust, initially in Finance and since 2019 with LNWH Charity. My experience with the Charity, particularly during and after COVID-19, has been incredibly inspiring. Witnessing the remarkable bravery of our frontline workers and the overwhelming support from our community has been phenomenal. My role involves linking charity funding requests with initiatives that will ultimately benefit staff, patients, and their families. We have a lot of great work going on and it's all thanks to the wonderful donations we receive.

I do like a bit of drama, in my younger years I was part of a re-enacted Michael Jackson “Thriller” production.

I have worked in communications in the NHS for more than 30 years and am passionate about the great work the NHS and Charity do. We fund some amazing projects that improve patient care and support staff in ways that NHS funding cannot. But we can only do what we do because of your kind donations, so thank you.

I have a condition called Synesthesia, which means I can taste colours. It only happens once every few years but when it does it freaks my husband out!

Coming from a project management background, I thoroughly enjoy the process of problem solving and incorporating others into this. There are multiple challenges associated with fundraising which will encourage me to develop the skills necessary to become a better professional in this industry on my path to mastery.

I have been competitive in basketball as team captain of multiple different teams. Soon after arriving on the planet, I knew what I loved doing and have been playing since I was two years old!

I've met some amazing people. People who want to donate money as a way of saying thanks for the great care they or their families have received. I enjoy building relationships and working with our lovely team. If you’d like help to fundraise for the Trust, give me a shout - I’m your guy.

I have a fear of heights but somehow managed to parasail across the Mediterranean sea. It was really scary because although I can swim, the water was a long way down and so deep!
