Bakkavor brings some sunshine to the Rainbow Centre
Feb 28, 2019
The fantastic staff at Bakkavor, Cumberland Avenue site raised almost £400 for the Rainbow Centre at Central Middlesex Hospital (CMH), after getting in touch with LNWH Charity to see how they could best support their local hospital.
Following discussions with employees, Bakkavor, the leading global provider of fresh prepared foods, decided to support the children’s centre, engaging staff at the Cumberland Avenue site to galvanize support. The response was amazing, with the workforce not only donating money but also providing a huge variety of brand new toys for the Centre’s waiting area.
A delegation of Bakkavor staff hand delivered the toys and fundraising to the Rainbow Centre, where they were warmly welcomed by Play Workers Gemma and Georgie.
“The toys are amazing and will be enjoyed by the children when they visit the Centre, making their visit to the hospital less stressful and more enjoyable’, Gemma said.
Abdullah Khan, Head of Operations at Bakkavor, Cumberland Avenue site said,
“We are delighted to be able to support our local hospital, and providing a bit of cheer to the children of the Rainbow Centre was very rewarding. We look forward to supporting other areas of the hospital in the future”.
LNWH Charity would like to say a massive thank you to Bakkavor Cumberland Avenue site and all of their generous staff who have made such a lovely difference to our young patients and their families.
