Charity funding rolls back the years for dementia patients

Nov 7, 2023

With the help of LNWH Charity, a reminiscence room on Hardy ward was created to provide a peaceful, calming space for dementia patients.

What once was a boring day room has been transformed into a bright and cheery space for patients.

Alex Lukjaniec, Matron for Older People and Dementia Services, said: “It’s just like a cosy sitting room where dementia patients can sit, relax and enjoy the scenery. It’s a peaceful, calming space.

“Plans are underway to create another room on Fielding ward and it’s all thanks to funding from LNWH Charity.”
