This Funding Friday, why not get involved in raising funds to help support great initiatives at LNWH NHS Trust

Christmas might seem a way off, but now’s the time to sign up to the Santa in the City fun run and raise money for LNWH Charity or Meadow House Hospice.

The 4KM run takes place on 4 December at 7pm. Starting at the Tate Modern, you’ll run, jog or walk, along the Thames Embankment, taking in some iconic landmarks such as St Pauls Cathedral and the Millenium Bridge.

Crossing over Southwark Bridge, you’ll head towards the Tower of London and Tower Bridge before doubling back to finish where you started.

When you sign up to take part, you’ll receive a festive five-piece Santa outfit, and a limited-edition medal.

So why not join thousands of other Santa’s, have a fun night, and raise money for Charity.

Winnie Njoroge, senior recovery/PACU practitioner at Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospital, has already signed up, and wants lots of you to join her.

She says: “I have worked in the NHS since 2022 and joined the Trust in June. I’m really keen to take part in events to raise money for LNWH Charity and the Santa in the City run is an ideal place to start.

“I previously worked in St. Georges Hospital and raised money for them by taking part in a parachute jump, which was exhilarating, and I also completed an abseil.

“I’m not a runner and can usually be found lifting weights in the gym, so this will be a challenge and I’d love for colleagues to join me.”

By signing up, you’ll commit to fundraising a minimum of £30.
