Sabina’s 3 Peaks Challenge succes

October 21, 2024

As promised, Sabina ditched her heels and pulled on her walking boots to complete the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge last weekend to raise money for our surviving breast cancer appeal. It took her 11 hours, covering 36 kilometres, and an impressive 65,210 steps.
Not everyone made it to the end, but Sabina battled rain, gale force winds and hail along the way, and was greeted by welcome sunshine at the top of each peak.
Her four-legged companion, Ginger, accompanied her to the top of the first peak, but then waited at the camp for everyone to return.
Sabina says: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have completed this challenge and feel humbled by everyone’s well wishes and donations. My fundraising target was £500, and I’m delighted to have raised over £1,600. Thank you to everyone who supported me. It was an amazing challenge, not to be repeated any time soon!”

Sabina’s JustGiving page is still open, so you can make a donation in recognition of her determination and commitment for such a great cause www.justgiving.com/page/sabina-rashid-1726236386301
