Charity funds art exhibition at Ealing Hospital

February 24, 2025

We’re delighted to tell you that you can now view an art exhibition, which we funded, in the Galleria area on the 3rd floor at Ealing Hospital. Access is via the stairs opposite WH Smith’s in the main reception.

The exhibition starts with cottage hospitals that treated people before the creation of the NHS, along with significant events that have shaped local healthcare.

When it was built, Ealing Hospital’s first patient was Eva Cook on February 24, 1979, and the 82-year-old’s first bedside visitors were an ITV news crew.

“I didn’t get much sleep that night because I was so excited to be on TV,” she said.

Dr Michael Rudolf was one of the first consultants employed at the hospital and went on to become its medical director.
