Thank you to our local community

May 12, 2025

When Northwick Park Hospital neonatal nurse, Dawn Ward, reached out to her local community to ask for donations of baby grows for our neonatal unit, they rose to the challenge.

Our neonatal unit is a lifeline for tiny babies born too early or with health complications and these items are always in demand, as they are continually being used and replaced.

Neonatal consultant, Dr Marianna Marothy, says: “In the current financial climate, where budgets are tight and resources are limited, this initiative was not only thoughtful but incredibly timely and impactful. Thanks to Dawn’s efforts, we received a generous supply of new and nearly new baby clothes, which are a massive help to the families and babies we support.

“It’s a beautiful reminder of our local community’s generosity and our team’s creativity and it’s a shining example of how small actions can have a big impact.

“On behalf of the neonatal unit, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to Dawn and to everyone who contributed.”
