Tattoo service a lifeline for cancer survivors
Mar 09, 2026
Since the service began in June last year, many patients have benefitted from Abbey’s expert nipple tattooing skills. Feedback has been amazing and patients said they felt complete after finishing their cancer treatment.
Your kind donations paid for physician associate, Abbey Pryer, to receive specialist medical tattoo training. She can tattoo eyebrows for cancer patients who have lost their hair through chemotherapy and nipples for patients who have had a mastectomy followed by reconstructive surgery or a central excision, where the nipple was removed along with the cancer.
Abbey says: “I see breast cancer patients from the moment they are referred to us in the triple assessment clinic and often throughout their surgical planning, so it’s amazing to provide the continuity of care and offer them this final step in their treatment.”
“We continue to need kind donations to replace the inks, to ensure we have a constant fresh supply in a variety of skin shades. So please consider us if you are looking for a great cause to support and donate to our online appeal today.”
