We were happy to help patients get the medication they need more quickly, by funding the first pilot for Easy Pay tablets in the UK.

The accident and emergency (A&E) department at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust currently doesn’t provide a pharmacy service outside of normal working hours. Instead, the department keep packs of commonly needed medicines, such as antibiotics and painkillers.

Patients who are not exempt from prescription charges can now pay for their medication straight away using their mobile phones on an Easy Pay tablet. The ability to pay by card will soon be available.

This means patients can collect their medication immediately instead of returning the next day, reducing delays and waiting times.
